* Makassar – Selayar by Land, must be arrive in Makassar early morning about 07.00 – 08.00.
Day 01 : Makassar Arrival – Selayar Island (LD).
Upon arrive at Sultan Hasanuddin Airport Makassar in the morning, about 08.00, meeting service and then direcly trip to Selayar Island via Tanjung Bira. The total time for this trip will be take about 10 - 11 hour drive including ferry cross to the island. Lunch will be served en-route. Upon arrive at Bira ferry harbor, take rest while waiting ferry, once the ferry available, we will cross to Selayar Island, the ferry trip may take about 2 hour. Upon arrive at Pamatata harbor, continue trip to Benteng City, main city of Selayar Island. From Pamatata to Benteng will take about 2 hour drive. Dinner will be served en route. Upon arrive at Benteng, check in to the hotel/bungalow, free program, overnight.
Day 02 : Selayar Island Tour (BLD).
Simple or Buffet Breakfast at the hotel/bungalow, today you will have time to visit Nekara Museum, Gong Nekara, and Bitombang Old Village, its quite unique villages since the land topography is not flat as most land, so that has extremely high pole house for about 12 m high in the back side, while the front of the house is lower about 1 - 2 m high. The pole of the house usually use a high quality woods in Selayar traditional language call it "Batti/holasa", and the pole of the house can last for hundreds of years. Lunch will be served an-route with simple style. Afternoon we leave to Baloiya Beach, located near from city center, after that back to hotel, dinner at local restaurant or at hotel/bungalow, overnight.
Day 03 : Selayar Island Snorkeling (BLD).
Simple breakfast at hotel/resort, then transfer to the pier for cross to Western area of Selayar Island, including Gusung Island or some people also call it with name Pasi Te'ne Island where here we will found some beautiful beach, such as Liang Kareta beach, Jeneiya Beach and some more beach. Lunch will be served on the beach with simple style. Here we can do snorkeling, swim on clear crystal water or sunbathing. Afternoon back to hotel/bungalow, dinner at local restaurant or at hotel/bungalow, overnight.
Please note :
If we got poor weather on this day, we will move to East Coast or West Coast area to do snorkeling, or visit Pinang and Baloiya Beach area which is offer beautiful white sand beach including do snorkeling around the beach.
Day 04 : Selayar – Makassar (BL).
Simple breakfast at the hotel/bungalow, early check out then leaving to Pamatata Harbor to catch morning ferry for cross to Bira. Upon arrive at bira, continue trip to Makassar the trip may take about 5 - 6 hour drive. On the way back to Makassar, we will stop to visit Tana Beru Village, This village well know as the Central of “Phinisi” boat maker or phinisi boat craftsmen. The Phinisi Boat is well-known as a means of traditional sea transportation amongst the Buginese people since many centuries ago. Here visitors will be amazed by the skill of the artisans for making the boat. They can made a very strong and luxurious ship only based on the experience and knowledge passed down from their ancestors, without using picture or even written sources. The boat made with many various sizes and some of their customers comes from overseas. Lunch will be served en-route. Upon arrive in Makassar in the afternoon, check in hotel. Free program. Dinner personal account, overnight.
Day 05 : Makassar Transfer Out (B).
Buffet breakfast at hotel, check out then transfer to Sultan Hasanuddin Airport Makassar for your flight back to home or to next destination. End program.
